Lynn Taylor launched Taylor Made Plans, LLC in 2000 as a resource for assisting historic neighborhoods with traditional neighborhood design.

Lynn holds an Associates Degree in Architectural Engineering Technology and has over twenty-three years experience in building construction design. Her latest new old house design won the 2007 Metro Nashville Historical Commission's infill category award, and she has won numerous other awards for infill design, including the 2005 infill housing award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation and Old-House Journal's Great American Home Award. Her infill housing business was one of three winners out of 16,000 entries in the Oxygen Network's "Oh Get the Money: Build Your Own Business" contest in 2004. In 2006, Lynn was featured in a 4-page article in Old House Journal, and one of our addition/renovation projects was also featured in the Summer, 2007, issue of Do It Yourself magazine. Lynn is a member of AIBD (American Institute of Building Design), as well as a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Tennessee Preservation Trust, NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), Tennessee chapter of the USGBC (US Green Building Council), and NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction), among other organizations. Taylor Made Plans has been certified as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise by NWBOC (National Women Business Owners Corporation) and as a Women's Business Enterprise by WBENC (Women's Business Enterprise National Council).
